THE NOSE BAND

I love this nose band. I don't think that it necessarily adds strength or bite to the halter, nor does it take away, but I think it looks GREAT!

I didn't start out making my halters with this classic knot. It took some practice and searching for good instructions to learn it. Now, I would not make a rope halter without it. It just looks nicer.

There is just one other knot used in making a rope halter.  That is the double over-hand knot that is used to tie the rest of the halter.
